Adobe Illustration Part 2

by Fateh Mursyidah FD2A2

For the second part of adobe illustration, we learn more and in detail on technical flat drawing of a garment. we were thought in detail on using the pen tool. first we had to out line the flat garment guideline that was given to us using the pen tool. In order for it to be exactly on the point of the guideline, i can use the anchor point pen tool to curve the line by pulling the handle line , so that the line will be fitted exactly to the guideline.

For the second part we also learn how to cut of the part of the collar so that one part of the collar is on top of the other. this was a bit challenging for me but i manage to clear my doubt with the help of my classmate.

Adobe Illustration lesson 1

By Fateh Mursyidah FD2A2

During the start of the lesson for Adobe Illustrator, i felt that it was very confusing. i had a hard time getting use to the pen tool, whereby we were told to outline the guide line that was given to us. i could not understand the function of the 'handle' and the 'anchor'. after several trial and error with the pen tool , i was able to figure out its function with also the help of my friends.

For the homework that was given, i was lost at first about cropping and clipping mask for the fabric swatches. After several practice, i was able to recreate the mood board that was given to us. At first i crop out the background flower pattern at adobe Photoshop and transfer it to adobe illustration. after the background was done, i then move on to cropping the fabric swatches with the help of the circular shape tool. after that i selected the fabric picture and the shape tool together and "clip masked" it. however before clipping masked, i copy the exact circular shape for the first fabric swatch. this is to make sure that all 4 fabric swatches have the same  exact circle shape. this will help the look of the mood board to be more organize and neat. after the swatches is complete, i then move to Photoshop to crop our the illustrated model and then transfer it back to the illustrator. lastly was the text for the fabric swatches and the title of the moodboard. this was quite easy as it was quite alike as the one in adobe Photoshop.

the above picture is the final moodboard that i recreated using the Adobe Photoshop and the illustrator.

Mood Board Assessment Reflection 2016

by Fateh Mursyidah FD2A2

When i first saw the final mood board that we were suppose to make, i panic as there was a lot of images that have to be crop out and clean up before assembling them together into the mood board.  however after breaking down all the component and part of the mood board, it was actually quite manageable and possible to be done at the given time. however during the cleaning up of certain images using the magic tool, the tool could not detect the part of the images that i wanted to erase, and with that i manage to use the brush tool and on the layer mask i am able to zoom in into the images and clean up the edges and parts that i did not want. Although i experience couple of trouble during the making of the mood board, i am able to use different type of tools to get a certain effect i wanted.
